Following the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center (WTC), thousands of workers were exposed to an array of toxins known to cause adverse health effects, including cancer. A study has been conducted by JNCI Cancer Spectrum and published through Oxford Academic to evaluate cancer incidences in the WTC Health Program General Responder Cohort occurring within 12 years post exposure.
